What is a sound bath meditation? Is there water involved?

The sound bath is a meditative experience where you are laying down (or sitting), warm and relaxed to receive the healing vibrations of gongs and other therapeutic instruments. You may feel yourself suspended in sound. The only water involved is on the inside – our bodies are made of 70% or more water which is a great conductor of sound! As you become immersed in the vibrations of the sound bath it creates inner ripples, like a sonic massage, cleansing the body and mind. Cecilia guides you and holds the space throughout so that you can let go and receive the benefits.

What are healing sounds? Can sound really heal you?

Healing sounds are used to calm the mind and body and facilitate an expansion of consciousness, as opposed to the intrusive or jarring sounds we might be exposed to in our everyday environments. Healing with sound frequencies takes place as an interaction between your energies and the energy of the sound, guided by your intention. Each and every cell vibrates while the gongs ‘entrain’ the brainwaves; slowing them to alpha and theta which are associated with calm, clarity and creativity. Equally important as receiving sound is resting in silence afterwards, where the vibrations are integrated and a deep sense of letting go takes place.

Tarrington Village Fete Saturday 10th July 12pm-5pm

On Saturday July 10th, by kind permission of Mr Richard Price, the Tarrington Fete will be held at The Vine between noon and 5pm.

Apart from the many familiar stalls, there will be a Dog Show with many classes offering opportunities for canines of all shapes and sizes to demonstrate their capabilities. Musical entertainment will be provided by Tarrington Brass and after visitors have been refreshed at the tea area or bar, they can explore the gardens around the house.

Admission is just £1 per adult on the gate, where you will be asked to leave contact details, to conform to the Covid 19 Track and Trace regulations.

It should be a great opportunity for residents to finally meet up in a safe manner outside, with everything carefully spaced out.

Please come and join us for a fun afternoon.
